Langsam schlurfend bewegte sich der Kriecher. Ich kann das schleimige Geräusch seiner krachenden Knochen genau in meiner Erinnerung hören. Diese Genauigkeit ist es, die von mir noch heute so manch getrübte Stunde des Wahnsinns fordert. Als er sich mit den zuckend zerrenden Anfällen seiner Körpergliedmaßen aufrichtete, stand ich direkt vor ihm. Ich war gezwungen ihm in seine abgrundtief hässliche Gesichtsfratze zu blicken. Der schöne Schrecken der mich ab dieser Zeit in meinem Träumen verfolgen sollte. Wie könnte ich je den Anblick vergessen, der mir alle Menschlichkeit raubte und mich der blinden Raserei überließ. In diesem Wahn packte ich aus einem möglichweise noch winzig vorhandenen Schutzinstinkt heraus einen Besen und rammte ihn der Monstrosität in das rechteste seiner sechs Augen. Meine Kraft war so von blindem Hass getrieben das ich das was man als seinen Kopf bezeichnen konnte, komplett in einem Ruck durchborte. Danach schwanden mir die Sinne...
Und als ich endlich aufwachte roch die Luft nach Salz.
